Isaac Okoro will be one of seven players from the Cleveland Cavaliers entering free agency this offseason.
Before going in-depth on the Cleveland Cavaliers’ upcoming free agents, let’s first look at their cap sheet.
Aside from the seven players entering free agency, the Cavaliers have decisions to make with Sam Merrill and Craig Porter Jr.
Merrill’s $2.1 million contract will fully guarantee if he’s still on the Cavs’ roster after January 10, 2025.
Porter Jr.’s contract is partially guaranteed for $1 million per Spotrac.com, and the full contract guarantees at $1.8 million if he’s still on the roster after January 10, 2025.
Now let’s look at the Cavs’ free agents.
Isaac Okoro 6’5” - Restricted Free Agent
Position - Forward. Okoro played 78% of his minutes at the 3 and 16% of his minutes at the 4.

Free agent status - The Cavs have until June 29 to tender Okoro an $11.8 million qualifying offer to make him a restricted free agent with full bird rights.
NBA Experience - Okoro will be 23 when next season begins, with 4 years of NBA experience.
Tristan Thompson 6’9” - Unrestricted Free Agent
Position - Center. Thompson played 95% of his minutes at the 5.
Free agent status - Thompson will be an unrestricted free agent with a $2 million cap hold on the Cavs’ books with non-bird rights.
NBA Experience - Thompson will be 33 next season, with 13 years of NBA experience.
Marcus Morris Sr. 6’8” - Unrestricted Free Agent
Position - Big. Morris Sr. played most of his minutes at the 4 with Cleveland and Philly, but he also logged some time at the 5 and 3.
Free agent status - Morris Sr. will be an unrestricted free agent with a $2 million cap hold on the Cavs’ cap sheet with non-bird rights.
NBA Experience - Morris Sr. will be 35 when next season begins, with 13 years of NBA experience.
Damian Jones 6’10” - Unrestricted Free Agent
Position - Center. Jones played 94% of his minutes at the 5.
Free agent status - Jones will be an unrestricted free agent with a $2 million cap hold and early bird rights on the Cavs’ cap sheet.
NBA Experience - Jones will be 29 when next season begins, with 8 years of NBA experience.
The Two-Way Free Agents - Isaiah Mobley, Pete Nance, Emoni Bates
The Cavs have until June 29 to tender a $2 million qualifying offer to Mobley, a $1.8 million qualifying offer to Nance, and a $1.8 million qualifying offer to Bates. By tendering qualifying offers, each player would be a restricted free agent.
Mobley was able to play in 10 games for the Cavs, averaging 7.2 minutes. Bates played in 15 games for Cleveland, averaging 8.9 minutes, attempting 2.2 threes, and making 30.3% of them. Nance only got into 8 games with Cleveland, where he averaged 3.4 minutes.
