Latest Rumors - As of May 30, the Athletic reported the Lakers want James to return, and they’ll be ready to extend his contract whether he exercises his player option or if he declines the option and then signs a new deal using bird rights.
Taurean Prince 6’6” - Unrestricted Free Agent
Position - Wing. Prince played 70% of his minutes at the 3 and 20% of his minutes at the 2.
Free agent status - Prince will be an unrestricted free agent with a $5.4 million cap hold and non-bird rights on the Lakers’ cap sheet.

The Two-Way Free Agents - Harry Giles III, Skylar Mays, Colin Castleton
Giles III will be an unrestricted free agent with a $1.8 million cap hold on the Lakers’ books. The Lakers can tender a $2.4 million qualifying offer to Mays and a $1.8 million qualifying offer to Castleton to make each player a restricted free agent.
Giles III played in 23 games with the Lakers and Nets last season, averaging 4.3 minutes per game. Mays played in 17 games, averaging 4.5 minutes, while Castleton got into 16 games, playing 3.7 minutes.
