Before going in-depth on the Orlando Magic upcoming free agents, let’s first look at their cap sheet.

The Magic will have 7 players entering free agency, but that number could climb up to 11 players depending on how much cap space the Magic want to open this summer.

  • Jonathan Isaac has a $17.4 million non-guaranteed contract that will fully guarantee by January 10, 2025. Barring significant injury, the contract for Isaac should guarantee.

  • The Magic have until June 29 to exercise Joe Ingles’ team option for $11 million.

  • The Magic have until June 29 to exercise Moritz Wagner’s $8 million team option.

  • The Magic have until June 30 to waive Caleb Houstan, if not, his contract will fully guarantee for $2 million.

As mentioned above, the Magic waiving players on non-guaranteed deals will come down to who they’re chasing in free agency. The Magic have been rumored to have interest in Paul George and D’Angelo Russell, if they enter free agency, as well as Klay Thompson.

In a scenario for George, the only way for the Magic to open the $49.3 million in cap space to send George a max contract would be to keep Isaac, but waive Ingles, Wagner, and Houstan. That would open $50.3 million in cap space for the Magic.

Now let’s look at the Magic free agents.
