Maybe one more move to be made before training camp. As it is the roster gives Pop some stealth tanking cover.

Interesting if Sidy gets enough run to maybe replace KJ. Depends on his D and shooting. Right now KJ is still the better player.

Especially the way Pop talked about Cissoko last night. He spoke as if the Spurs intend to have Cissoko as part of the foundation at some point down the line.

Yep I heard that in the Pop interview. I’m really curious to see the Castle, Vassel, Cissoko, Sochan, Wemby lineup. On paper that’s stout defensively if they can get enough spacing.

Interesting breakdown… eventually the team will need Sochan, Castle and one more player (not currently on the roster) to reach 32-34 MPG. Minutes will open up if the players step up to earn more PT as Barnes, Tre, CP3 and maybe Keldon take more of a backseat.

Nice to see improved depth though for 24-25 season

For me Sochan's minutes where the toughest to project. Had Barnes not been added, I would have penciled Sochan in for 30 mins or more. But now, I think Pop splits their minutes.

It might also be worth trying to bring back Barlow on a two-way, in case a re-signed Bassey isn’t ready to start the season because of his ACL.

It seems pretty clear that the Spurs still need frontcourt and shooting depth. Bringing back Bassey on a veteran minimum could help with the former. Perhaps signing Doug McDermott to a one year deal for some or all of the MLE makes sense. Both guys would likely be OK with playing spot minutes because of their prior connections to the team. Thoughts?

I agree with the idea that if Bassey returns, he's there more so there for additional depth, but I can't see him cracking the rotation unless there's an injury. Regarding McDermott, I think it would take like $5 mil to sign him, but IMO, I think SA has moved on from him after his role shrunk last season before being traded.
