After reviewing the rosters of the Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards to determine whether any players on those teams would be suitable for the San Antonio Spurs via trade or free agency, let’s turn our attention to the Charlotte Hornets out East.

Here’s the Hornets’ upcoming cap sheet for this offseason:

When including the 4th pick, the Hornets have 10 players returning on guaranteed contracts. The team has some decisions regarding Tre Mann and Wendell Moore Jr., who can both become restricted free agents on July 1 if they’re tendered qualifying offers. The Hornets must also decide on non-guaranteed contracts for Josh Okogie, DaQuan Jeffries, and Moussa Diabate.

According to the mocks, the Hornets will likely add VJ Edgecombe, a shooting guard from Baylor, or scoring forward Ace Bailey from Rutgers if the Philadelphia 76ers pass on him with the third overall pick.

After going through the Hornets’ roster, let’s see which free agents or realistic1 trade targets the Spurs could look at from Charlotte’s roster.
