Spurs Sign Jamaree Bouyea
With only a few hours left before regular season rosters have to be finalized, the Spurs re-signed point guard Jamaree Bouyea Friday.
The San Antonio Spurs have re-signed point guard Jamaree Bouyea, according to their team roster.
The contract is likely a training camp deal with a short window remaining to sign players to training camp contracts. If Bouyea is waived soon, then the move was made for him to be able to join the Austin Spurs in the G-League.
Bouyea was on a two-way contract last season and he played on the Summer League squad, but then, on September 15, the team waived him, two weeks before training camp started.
At this moment, teams can have up to 21 players on their training camp roster, and the Spurs had one open roster spot, after the team recently waived Jalen McDaniels.
By 4 PM CT on Saturday, NBA regular season rosters will have to be reduced to no more than 18 players (15 standard contract players and 3 two-way players). The Spurs currently have one open two-way roster spot.
This means the Spurs will have to decide whether or not to waive four players on training camp deals in Bouyea, Riley Minix, Brandon Boston Jr., and Malachi Flynn.
